This is Sofia Herrera, Cub Reporter for the Doddville Register. I am guest blogging today for the author S. C. Ashby.
If you are reading or have read the novel by S. C. Ashby, Along the River Road, 
then you know that I am a character from that story who works as a high school intern for the local newspaper. My job as an intern includes doing research for articles, proofreading copy, and taking photos of school activities and special town events.
The author S. C. Ashby has received many emails from readers who wanted me to do another version of my Duende photo essay from a few months ago. So, by readers’ requests, here is my photo essay of Duende Part 2.
Duende
Whenever I stand in the midst of nature
at its finest moment,
I have an overwhelming sense of
its beauty and the utter magic of
what is happening around me.
I am in awe.
I am inspired by the spectacle.
In my family’s language we have one word
that captures the essence of all these emotions:
DUENDE.
