About

ABOUT ME

An educator, curriculum specialist, and lifelong learner, I have been writing periodically throughout my life. Growing up in the OC ‘burbs well before it was referred to as the OC (Orange County, California), I lived about seven miles from the ocean and seven miles from Disneyland. My dreams and imagination were fueled by mystery novels, science fiction short stories, Disney films, and NASA science. Because I believed that the power of learning and education has the potential to make positive changes in a person’s life, I chose the vocation of teaching at an early age. I worked diligently toward achieving my goal. I enjoyed creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for my students which eventually led me to a job at NASA Ames Research Center in South Bay San Francisco. There, I served as a project manager for a multimedia team that developed online learning showcasing NASA projects in aeronautics and the space sciences. Wanting to become a better evaluator of learning, I earned my doctorate. Falling in love along the way, my spouse and I have enjoyed living and working in the South. My spouse and I decided it was time for me to dedicate more time to writing, so I now spend 5 – 6 hours a day crafting stories. I enjoy writing about strong women in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math) who are proactive problem solvers. I continue to challenge myself by addressing the complexities and diversity of life in my themes while creating characters who struggle against the confines of society as they wrestle with their own anxieties, fears, and their unique humanity.

I hope you find the stories interesting and, at times, thought provoking. Thank you for your support and keep reading as it promotes critical thinking, strengthens visualization skills, and encourages imagination.

Best wishes on life’s journey,
